Most people with horses have heard of gastric ulcers. Because horses were designed to graze all day their stomach is constantly producing acid. Many horses today are confined to stalls for most of the day and don't have access to as much roughage. Studies have shown 60% of performance horses and 90% of racehorses have gastric ulcers.
